Jason Eastman ("Be skeptical of fearmongers," Sept. 13 letter) rails and slanders the tea party, Glenn Beck and Newt Gingrich, a Republican leader but hardly a tea party leader as the tea party is grass-roots and leaderless. He further denigrates the God of Israel, News Corp. and Koch industries, insurance companies, the white race and the state of Arizona. He erroneously sanctions foreign national constitutional protection of terrorists and endorses citizenship of children born to illegals, which was obviously not the intention of the Constitution.
Perhaps the biggest insult put forward by Eastman is his notion that Lindsey Graham is a politician endorsed by the tea party.
Indeed, Lindsey Graham is a RINO opportunist who sided with the liberal Sen. John Kerry over the carbon dioxide fraud causing global warming. Graham is a disgrace to those in the tea party movement.
Henceforth, Eddie Dyer ("Coastal professors free to speak out," Sept. 22 letter) [executive vice president and chief operating officer] of Coastal Carolina University confirmed the wisdom of Sir Winston Churchill: "A lie will travel halfway around the world before the truth can get its pants on."
The only truth at Coastal is the fact that they spend a lot of taxpayer and student money to achieve a liberal brainwashing and a trashing of discourse. Before this letter offered by Eastman, there have been the elitist remarks of Dan Abel promoting global warming ideology ad-infinitum and his defense by professor Eric Koepfler whenever there is technical disagreement.
"Truth" is misinterpreted by the scholar to set you free; no, Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life, and he will set you free. Check it out.
And, "Academicians tend toward the liberal end of the political spectrum" tends to be an attempt to convince us that there is some sense of political balance, and the notion that "ideas" come from left-wing politics at Coastal is absurd.
