Re: July 13 column by Mande Wilkes, "On Israel, it's time for America to cut the cord."

Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. "

This morning at the First Presbyterian Church of Myrtle Beach the prayer for Illumination was: “O Lord, your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Give us grace to receive your truth in faith and love, and strength to follow on the way you set before us: through Jesus Christ, Amen.”

Throughout the Holy Bible again and again God promises to bless those who bless Israel: "I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." Genesis: 12:3.

Genesis, "And Abraham said to God, ‘Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!’” Then God said: "No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant and with his descendants after him.”

God never breaks His Word: I suggest you and your readers read the Holy Bible.

A New York Times bestseller, "Four Blood Moons" by John Hagee, has 25 direct Bible references to emphasize God's desire for the Jewish people to exclusively own this land forever. It is very obvious that the real estate contract between God Almighty and Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is recorded repeatedly in the Word of God.

Jesus said “Salvation is of the Jews." John 4:22. Without Jews there would be no Christianity.

I hope and pray our nation and its good people will continue our unwavering support of Israel in the face of such evil and hatred and that all people of faith of all denominations will raise up their voices to their congressional members of both the House and the Senate to send a message of support for the nation of Israel and its people.

If we should "cut the cord to Israel" then God will, according to His word cut His blessings to our nation. I pray to God that never happens.
