Myrtle Beach Councilwoman Mary Jeffcoat has been appointed to a national panel focusing on economic development issues.
Jeffcoat will be a member the National League of Cities’ Community and Economic Development Committee in 2017. NLC is a lobbying and policy group based in Washington, D.C. that represents municipalities across the country.
The appointment was announced Monday afternoon in a news release from Myrtle Beach Spokesman Mark Kruea . Jeffcoat’s committee both sets some of NLC’s policy priorities and represents cities and towns at the national and local levels.
