A man reported that a black box containing ashes was left behind by previous mobile-home tenants, according to a police report.
Police responded at 1:54 p.m. Thursday, to Kirkley’s Mobile Home Park at 2200 Highway 15, according to the report.
The 49-year-old man, who called police, said that the occupants staying at the house had moved out and left a black box with ashes in it. The man did not know the new address of the previous occupants, police said.
The black box containing the ashes was taken as property and will be stored at the Myrtle Beach Police Department.
The owner of the box was not found and had not claimed it as of 9:15 a.m. on Friday, police said.
