Myrtle Beach police charged 22-year-old Donnie Hunt Jr. with destruction of property and public intoxication after a spree that left three cars damaged Saturday.
A security guard at the tourist attraction had called police when he saw a man kicking and hitting a car, according to a police report.
When an officer arrived on the scene, he observed Hunt leaning on a white Volvo and asked what he was doing. Hunt allegedly told the officer that he had locked his keys and cellphone in his car, and pointed to a Pontiac in a different space. The officer then asked why he was leaning on the Volvo and why the side view mirrors were broken off, to which the accused said he didn't do that.
The officer also noticed blood on the Pontiac and the Volvo and that one of Hunt's hands was bleeding. The Volvo also had some small dents that appeared to be from kicking and punching.
