A Myrtle Beach man is in custody after being arrested on child pornography charges.
According to a prepared statement from S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson, 54-year-old Salvatore A. Coppola was brought in Thursday by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigators along with Horry County police officers.
Investigators claim Coppola possessed and distributed files of child pornography.
Coppola is charged with three counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, and third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He is facing up to 10 years in prison on each count.
The case will be prosecuted by the S.C. Attorney General’s office.
