Myrtle Beach Police are investigating after a bouncer at Derriere’s Gentlemen’s Club allegedly punched a dancer in the face and dragged her off the stage early Sunday.
When police arrived at the club around 1 a.m., a woman told officers after she was done dancing on the stage, two customers sat down and requested her so she continued, according to an incident report.
The bouncer then allegedly told the dancer “she was done and needed to leave the stage,” the report states. She then told the bouncer “to give her a second because she had been requested by the customers.”
Afterward, the bouncer allegedly “got angry and slammed the clip board and started to drag the victim off of the stage,” police said.
The dancer told officers she was “thrashing around” and tried to tell the bouncer to let her “walk off.” When she was pushing the bouncer off of her, that’s when he punched her, according to the report.
After the incident, the dancer went to the back room and did not see the bouncer again.
Multiple witnesses in the report confirmed the dancer’s allegations.
Another dancer who was on stage during the incident told an officer when the bouncer tried to remove the victim from the stage, he punched her after she hit him, the report states.
Police say the second witness alleged the bouncer “forcefully removed the victim from the stage” and punched her in the face.
The third witness told officers after the bouncer tried to get the dancer off the stage and would not let her go, he punched her after she slapped him, the report says.
The witnesses say other employees separated the two and both left the area after the incident.
The officer noted in the report he tried to speak with the owner of the club to learn the bouncer’s identity but he did not answer the phone.
The bouncer is listed in the report as “Antonio” and no other information was given regarding his identity. Police are investigating.
