A brother and sister were found dead at a Galivants Ferry home Thursday afternoon, and Horry County police are investigating the deaths as homicides.
Officers were called to a house on Twilight Road in regards to a cardiac arrest. Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the home first and found 25-year-old Porscha Cobb dead inside, according to authorities.
As officers did a protective sweep, they discovered her brother, 26-year-old Dexter Cobb, deceased. Michelle McSpadden, deputy coroner with the Horry County Coroner’s Office, said the autopsy is being conducted Friday, and the deaths are being investigated as homicides by police.
When officers first arrived at the scene, a man inside the home stuck his head outside the window and yelled at officers to do their job, according to the report.
When they entered the house, officers found the man “over top of” Porscha Cobb, yelling at police “not to touch him,” according the report.
Officers brought the man out of the home after he punched a hole in a closet door, said police.
Krystal Dotson, spokeswoman with Horry County police, said there was no suspect information to release Friday morning.
