A Myrtle Beach man wanted by police since December has been arrested and charged Friday with four counts of attempted murder.
Dashon Amin Garner, 24, is also charged with possession of a weapon during violent crime for an incident on Dec. 29, 2014. Myrtle Beach police responded to a report of a drunken driver at Highway 501 and Robert Grissom Parkway around 11:19 p.m., when officers learned the vehicle was listed as stolen.
Officers chased the vehicle to Mr. Joe White Avenue and Warren Street where Garner fled from his car, police said. Police chased Garner on foot and he produced a handgun and fired multiple shots at the officers that were on scene.
An officer returned fire by firing one round at the subject, police said.
