Myrtle Beach man charged in sexual assault of woman

A Myrtle Beach man was charged in connection with the sexual assault of a woman in the city, according to authorities.
Kalyan Jamal Willett, 23, of Myrtle Beach was being held at 7 a.m. Tuesday at the Myrtle Beach Jail pending a bond hearing. Willett was charged Monday with second-degree criminal sexual conduct, according to jail records.
At 1:20 a.m. Monday, Myrtle Beach police were called to 100 Cedar St., for an assault, according to a police report. Officers learned a woman had been sexually assaulted.
During the police investigation, officers noted that Willett returned to the scene so he was taking into custody there, according to the report. No other details were listed in the report.
