Horry County troopers investigate fatality along S.C. 707

A 70-year-old man died Monday morning in an incident involving a piece of farm equipment along S.C. 707 in the Burgess community of Horry County, according to authorities.

The incident was reported to authorities about 9 a.m. Monday and troopers with the S.C. Highway Patrol are investigating the incident, which occurred on S.C. 707 at Sunny Boy Lane.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick said the victim, Willie York of Myrtle Beach, died a the scene. Hendrick said York was operating a tractor used for bush hogging and was cutting brush, when he either fell from or, for some reason, got off and was hit by the equipment.
