Myrtle Beach man charged in stabbing of 56-year-old man at apartment complex

A Myrtle Beach man was arrested after police learned a 56-year-old man was stabbed during a dispute about money for discount tickets, according to a police report.
Tyre Deshon Carter, 21, of Myrtle Beach was charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature after officers were called at 1 a.m. Saturday to 1001 Yaupon Drive for a stabbing, police said.
Carter is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center on $20,000 bond, according to jail records.
Officers learned the 56-year-old man ran out of an apartment after he heard a woman yelling for help, according to the report. The woman, whose age was not listed in the report, told police another woman had asked her to get some discounted tickets, but she was not able to get them, so she returned the other woman’s money.
The woman said the other woman continued to get more and more upset about the tickets as the day went on, according to the report. The first woman said the other woman punched her in the head.
The first woman said she called her daughter and her daughter’s boyfriend, Carter, to come to the apartment, according to the report. A confrontation occurred and one woman was tased after witnesses said Carter had a taser when he arrived at the apartment complex.
