Conway man cited after Myrtle Beach police learn he was seen masturbating in mall parking lot

Myrtle Beach police cited a Conway man after officers learned he was seen masturbating inside a vehicle near Coastal Grand Mall, according to a police report.

Myron Tremaine Powell, 25, of Conway was cited with disorderly conduct/disrobe, nudity, public sexual activity after officers were called about 11:30 a.m. Thursday to 1400 Coastal Grand Circle, police said.

Officers saw a man sitting in a vehicle with the window rolled down a bit, according to the report. The officer approached the vehicle and saw the man, who was identified as Powell, was sitting in the front seat with a T-shirt and his boxers on, but had sweatpants across his lap and a cellphone in his hand.

Powell told the officer he had been watching adult videos on his phone while waiting for his friend to land at the airport, according to the report. The employee, who called police, said that he saw on video surveillance Powell driving around the parking lot suspiciously and stopping by cars.

The employee told police he could see Powell on the video masturbating inside the vehicle and that there were people walking by the vehicle at the time, according to the report. No other details were listed.
