Horry County man shot in Conway late Thursday, injuries not life threatening

Conway police continued Friday to investigate a shooting that occurred late Thursday where a man was shot in the area of Earnest Finney Avenue, according to authorities.
The victim, a 26-year-old Green Sea man, did not suffer life-threatening injuries, but was taken to a local hospital for treatment, Conway police Lt. Selena Small said at 7 a.m. Friday.
Police were called at 8:15 p.m. Thursday to 1803 Earnest Finney Ave., for a shooting and found the injured man, Small said.
The suspected shooter ran from the area before police arrived, Small said. Officers searched the nearby areas, but did not find him. Detectives spent much of the evening investigating the shooting and searching for the suspect.
