An Horry County grand jury indicted a Little River man on murder and other charges related to an attempted armed robbery last year, according to court records.
Michael Devonte Bellamy, 21, is indicted for murder, attempted murder and armed robbery, according to Horry County grand jury indictments released this week.
Bellamy is charged in a shooting that killed 21-year-old Kelsie Monin and critically injured a man.
Brandon James Littell, 19, of Little River was indicted previously on the same charges related to the incident. Both men remain jailed at J. Reuben Long Detention Center. A juvenile who was 15 when he was arrested also faces charges related to the shooting and is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center.
Never miss a local story.
Monin was found dead from a gunshot wound on Old Crane Road off Sandridge Road about 4 p.m. on June 19, 2013. Soon after police found her, they were called about a man, who suffered a gunshot wound, at the Kangaroo convenience store on S.C. 90 at Sea Mountain Highway.
Police say the man was shot during an attempted armed robbery, where Monin was killed.
Charges also remain pending against Debbie Lin Littell, 47, of North Myrtle Beach who is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
Police said Debbie Littell lied about not seeing her son, Brandon, during the investigation and said the suspects were at the home when she was asked about their whereabouts.
