Missing West Virgina man may be in Murrells Inlet

A man missing from Barboursville, West Virgina may be in the Murrells Inlet area, according to Detective Greg Lucas with the Barboursville Police Department.
Robert Pettit, 54, was last seen June 30, Lucas said, but was spotted July 7 at the Rite Aid at 788 Inlet Square Drive and is believed to still be in the Murrells Inlet area.
Pettit is 5’4” and weighs 180 pounds. He has a dark beard and dark hair and drives a 2001 dark blue Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck with a West Virginia license plate 8MR266.
Lucas said his family is concerned about his welfare and said Pettit may be confused and suffering from dementia.
