Three men are charged and more arrests are possible in a shooting in Loris that killed on man an injured another, said Lt. Robert Kegler with Horry County police.
Manton Connell Alford, 23, Quinteel Pierre Harley, 26, and Dashon Cortez Grate, 23, are each charged with murder in connection with the shooting that occurred Wednesday night.
Grate also is charged with manufacturing and distributing ice, crank or crack cocaine. Harley also is charged with two counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession and sale or delivery of a pistol by certain persons unlawful and entering premises after warning or refusing to leave on request.
In Dec. 2013, Harley was charged with manufacturing or possession of flunitrazepam or analogue with intent to distribute. In Nov. 2013, he was charged with third-degree assault and battery, possession of a controlled substance and failure to appear.
Police responded Wednesday to a vehicle crash and found that both the driver and a passenger had been shot.
David Blanton, 24, of Loris was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound at the scene of the crash, Horry County Coroner Robert Edge said.
Anyone with information about the shootings can call Horry County police at 915-TIPS.
