Driver dies in single-vehicle crash in Georgetown

A single-vehicle crash left one person dead Saturday night, police said.
Antonio Lara Cortes, 38, was pronounced dead on the scene, said Georgetown County deputy coroner Paulette Radcliffe.
S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Judd Jones said a 2001 Ford pickup truck was traveling east on Brick Chimney Road in Georgetown.
The truck ran off the road, struck and embankment and overturned, partially ejecting Cortes, who was not wearing a seatbelt.
