A 34-year-old man told Myrtle Beach police that a man and woman assaulted him and then stole his clothing, wallet and cigarettes, according to a police report.

The victim told officers he was walking home from a local bar about 2:45 a.m. Monday and was in the area of Ninth Avenue South and Kings Highway when a dark colored sedan drove up and the man and woman got out and approached him, police said.

The victim said the man punched him in the face, which caused him to fall to the ground, and then the woman kicked him, according to the report. The couple then took a bag containing clothing and stole his wallet and cigarettes from his pocket.
