An Horry County couple accused of murder are facing additional charges filed Tuesday, according to public records.
Tammy and Sidney Moorer are each charged with one count of making a false statement on an application for Medicaid assistance, according to Horry County public records.
Details of the charge were not immediately available Tuesday.
Tammy, 42, and Sidney, 38, are charged with murder, kidnapping, obstruction of justice and two-counts of indecent exposure in connection with the Heather Elvis case. Elvis was reported missing in December when her car was found at Peachtree Landing in Socastee. Her body has not been found.
The Moorers both remain jailed at J. Reuben Long Detention Center, a judge denied bond on the murder and kidnapping charges in March. At a subsequent hearing in May when attorneys revealed Tammy Moorer is pregnant, a judge denied her request for bond a second time.
