Georgetown County deputies search for man in indecent exposure at state park

Georgetown County deputies are searching for a man wanted in connection with an indecent exposure that occurred at Huntington Beach State Park and involved two girls, according to a news release.

Deputies were called about 4 p.m. Tuesday to the state park at 16148 Ocean Highway in Murrells Inlet for a report that a man had exposed himself to the girls while they were playing near the water, according to the release. A relative alerted by bystanders and one person followed the man, who fled northbound on Ocean Highway.

Police tracked the vehicle to Patrick M. Krell of Charleston and are attempted to contact him about the incident. The vehicle was a greenish blue GMC van with a Georgia license plate No. BXD-1908, according to the release. Krell is described as a white male who is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds with blue eyes.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Krell can call the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office at (843) 546-5101. Anonymous tips can also be sent by using Text-A-Tip. Just dial 274637 from any text enabled cell phone, and text the word “GCSOTIP” followed by your message.
