Myrtle Beach police charged three men with robbery after a man walking with his daughter reported being robbed of cigarettes and cash, according to a police report.
Sylvester Lee Bellamy, 20, Rhese Juwan Bromell, 23, and Glen Fitzgerald Skinner, 21, were each charged with strong arm robbery Wednesday after officers were called at 9 p.m. Tuesday to the area of Mr. Joe White Avenue and North Ocean Boulevard, according to authorities.
The victim told police he was walking with his daughter in the area of Eighth Avenue North when between five and seven men surrounded him and threatened him, according to the report. The victim said one man asked for a cigarette and the victim pulled out his pack and the man took it.
The victim said the man then ordered him to empty his pockets and took about $70 from him before he was able to walk away with his daughter, according to the report. The victim stopped a police officer and reported the incident.
The trio who were arrested were found in the area by police and identified by the victim, according to the report.
