Myrtle Beach couple charged with prostitution after officer saw them in the woods

Myrtle Beach police charged a couple with prostitution when an officer caught them Wednesday afternoon engaged in a sexual act in a wooded area, according to a police report.

Brandina Kerene Grass, 29, of Myrtle Beach was charged with third or subsequent offense prostitution while Anthony Wayne Sheppard, 42, of Myrtle Beach was charged with first-offense prostitution, according to Myrtle Beach Jail records. Grass was being held pending a bond hearing and Sheppard’s bond was set at $781 cash, records showed at 7 a.m. Thursday.

An officer saw the couple engaged in a sexual act about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday near 800 Harrelson Boulevard and South Kings Highway, according to the report. Sheppard told officers he picked up Grass at a local store and they agreed on sex for $40.
