One person dead in Tuesday afternoon crash in Horry County

One person died in a single vehicle crash that happened Tuesday afternoon on a secondary highway in Horry County, according to authorities.

William Benny Brown, 60, of Conway died at the scene from injuries he suffered in the crash, Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick said.

The crash was reported at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday along Secondary Highway 19 in Horry County, said Cpl. Sonny Collins with the S.C. Highway Patrol.

The crash involved in a 2006 Ford Ranger driven by Brown, who was going south on the roadway when the vehicle ran off the road and overturned, Collins said. Brown was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
