Manager of grocery store killed in Horry County

Authorities say the manager of an Horry County grocery store has been shot and killed during a robbery.

Horry County Coroner Robert Edge said 49-year-old Malcom Ray Norris, manager of the Hills Food Store, was shot inside the store around 6:30 a.m. Sunday. Norris, who was known as Mack,” was from Tabor City, N.C. Edge said a gunshot wound was the cause of death. An autopsy was planned for Sunday evening.

Police say the suspect left with money and has not been found. Authorities are trying to use police dogs to track him.
