Outages reported at Myrtle Beach schools

A power outage is reported at Myrtle Beach Primary and Elementary schools, according to Myrtle Beach Fire Department.

Firefighters are at the schools and awaiting help from Santee Cooper representatives, according to Battalion Chief Tom Gwyer of Myrtle Beach Fire Department.

He said power at Myrtle Beach High School and Myrtle Beach Middle School is not affected.

Santee Cooper Electric Cooperative expects power to be restored by 4 p.m., according to the company’s outage website.
