Myrtle Beach police charged two people in connection with a woman attacking another woman in her apartment, according to a police report.
The victim, a 41-year-old woman, told police that about 12:45 a.m. Tuesday she arrived home to 1213 Dunbar St., when the suspect, Selena Rochelle Johnson, forced her way into the apartment, according to the report. The victim said Johnson, 30, of Myrtle Beach, grabbed her by the hair and punched her in the face.
The victim said she was able to get away from Johnson and grabbed a pole and hit her in the head twice until she was able to push her out of the apartment, according to the report. The victim said Johnson the grabbed a chair and used it to smash two windows and a glass door.
An officer arrived at the apartment as Johnson had the chair in her hands and was trying to break the door open, according to the report. The officer ordered Johnson to dropped the chair, but as he tried to handcuff her, she resisted until another officer arrived and helped him.
Johnson had several cuts on her hands and arms from the broken glass and cuts to her head from being struck with a wooden pole, according to the report. But when EMS arrived, police noted Johnson got upset, kicked officers and refused to calm down so they called for a transport van to take her to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Johnson was charged with burglary and Randy James Allen Green, 32, was charged with breach of peace, according to police. It was unclear from the report how Green was involved in the incident.
