A Little River man, admitted to Seacoast Hospital with a fatal stab wound, told the woman he was with that he knew who stabbed him, but he would never tell police, according to an Horry County police report.
Thirty-five-year-old Dennis Green came to the hospital around 5 a.m. A security guard asked an Horry County officer, who was at the hospital on another case, to respond to the emergency room where a woman, who came in with Green, “was not cooperating,” according to the report.
The officer attempted to gain information about the stabbing, but noted in the report that the woman may have been “highly intoxicated.”
The woman told police that they were at Thee Doll House and the victim went to a neighboring gas station and returned to the vehicle with a stab wound, according to the report. The woman later stated that the stabbing happened at a gas station near Applebee’s or Outback in North Myrtle Beach, police said.
Never miss a local story.
The woman told the officer that she drove Green to the hospital, once he returned to the vehicle.
Police noted the woman was “belligerent and disrespectful to the entire hospital staff” and the responding officer.
Green died of traumatic injuries from the stabbing at 1:25 p.m., according to Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard.
