The body of a 32-year-old Moncks Corner man was found Wednesday in the Andrews area, and Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office deputies are calling it a murder case, according to a news release.
Lamar Michael Thompson was discovered in the driver’s seat of a 2008 GMC Yukon parked on Dorien Drive close to County Line Road about 5 p.m. Wednesday, the release states.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine his cause of death, GCSO officials said. Thompson’s body was “bloodstained” when it was discovered, and deputies said four shell casings were found outside the vehicle, a previous release states. A fifth shell casing was discovered inside the vehicle, police said.
Smoke damage was also seen inside the SUV.
The investigation is ongoing.
