A 41-year-old woman woke from her bed to the popping sounds of gunfire early Tuesday morning, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.
She told police that she was sleeping in her bedroom with her husband and their three children at her home near Highway 15 in Myrtle Beach when she was awoken by the sound of gunshots. She smelled smoke as she went through the hallway, according to the report.
She noticed a hole in her laptop computer and multiple holes in her front door. She then called police.
Officers saw multiple gun shots in the victim’s front door, walls, and in her laptop, but no one in the home was harmed, police said after they arrived to about 1 a.m.
Detectives were called out to investigate the incident further, police said.
