For any locals craving the best Italian food in the Palmetto State, you don’t have to travel far — Villa Romana Italian Restaurant in Myrtle Beach was recently named the state’s “Best Italian Restaurant” by LoveFood.com.
Myrtle Beach City Council celebrated the restaurant and its owners, Rinaldo and Franca Montrosse, at Tuesday’s meeting, a Facebook post from the Myrtle Beach City Government says.
LoveFood.com said Villa Romana Italian Restaurant “is the place to go if you want to enjoy authentic Italian dishes while surrounded by classic Roman architecture.”
Never miss a local story.
The Montrosses opened their restaurant in 1985, who based the menu on their old family recipes passed down the generations, according to LoveFood.com.
“The ambiance and menu at Villa Romana are unlike any other restaurant in Myrtle Beach, and it is this family atmosphere, combined with excellent food, which has earned Villa Romana such high praise as “South Carolina’s Best Italian Restaurant,”’ the post states.
