Irma moved across the Carolinas throughout Monday, bringing with it rain and winds, leaving parts of the Grand Strand feeling the effects as the storm blew through.
Between Horry and Georgetown Counties the highest recorded rainfall in a 24 hour period was 4.52 in. at the Waccamaw River above Conway. The highest wind gust was recorded in Georgetown County at 61 mph.
The highest recorded wind gust in Horry County was 54 mph at the Myrtle Beach International Airport, while the highest recorded rainfall in Georgetown County was 4 in. in Pawleys Island.
Power outages were reported throughout both counties due lasting through Tuesday morning, leaving hundreds in the dark.
Streets in Garden City, North Myrtle Beach, Pawleys Island and Georgetown flooding during high tide due to storm surge from Irma, but most of the flooding was cleared by Tuesday.
