S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating a crash at U.S. 17 Bypass and Glenn’s Bay Road that left two area teens dead.
Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said Riley Bloch, 17, of Conway and 16-year-old Gavin Brunetti of Surfside Beach, were killed when two vehicles collided Wednesday night.
Police said the crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. and the teens each died within an hour after the crash at Waccamaw hospital.
S.C. Highway Patrol said Bloch was driving a 1998 Chevrolet truck. A passenger in his truck, a 15-year-old boy whose name was not released, was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center with minor injuries. His condition was not available Thursday.

Brunetti was the passenger in a Ford Focus, that state troopers said was driven by Jake Ford, 17. Ford was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center with minor injuries, according to police.
S.C. Highway Patrol said the collision occurred when Ford was southbound on U.S. 17 Bypass an attempted a left turn onto Glenns Bay Road. Troopers said Bloch’s truck drove through a red light at the intersection an struck Ford’s car on its right side.
No one was charged Thursday, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.
