“American Idol” hopefuls should visit the website for rules and requirements before lining up Thursday to audition for the show.

The audition bus will be at the former Pavilion site on the ocean, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues North, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and singers can line up beginning at 7 a.m.

Participants must bring two forms of identification, and a release form that can be downloaded from the website. There also are requirements for singers under the age of 18 who are accompanied by a guardian other than their parents, and no overnight camping will be allowed at the audition site.
