StarTek, HGTC to host job fair April 30

A job fair will be held with representatives from StarTek Inc. and Horry-Georgetown Technical College April 30 from 2-5 p.m. The event is open to the public and will be held in the D. Kent Sharples Student and Community Life Complex (building 1100) off Victory Lane on HGTC’s Conway campus, 2050 U.S. 501.
Interested applicants should visit the college’s Career Resource Center for directions on how and where to apply.
StarTek is hiring customer service representatives, or brand warriors, said Kim Kinkade, human resource manager for the company. She said those in the position provide inbound customer service to customers via phone for everything from billing questions and account activations to upgrades and troubleshooting.
Those who want to apply must meet the following requirements and have:• full-time, open availability from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. hours of operation, seven days per week, 365 days per year
• a high school diploma or GED
• at least six months of recent customer service experience in the following industries: call center, retail, hospitality or service industry
• computer experience
• prior sales experience a plus.
