The Myrtle Beach City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been rescheduled to Feb. 4 due to the threat of winter weather, according to a press release from the city.
The City Council workshop will begin as usual at 9 a.m. in City Hall on Feb. 4. The meeting will be held at 1 p.m. that day – which is an hour earlier than usual – at Ted C. Collins Law Enforcement Center.
City recreation programs also are canceled Tuesday night due to the predicted weather.
The Myrtle Beach Municipal Court also will be closed Tuesday, though court officials will try to hold bond hearings at least once. South Carolina’s Chief Justice ordered the closure, which affects county and municipal courts in 33 counties.
As of Monday afternoon, all other city operations were not affected by the weather.
