Various special events are set for commemorating Martin Luther King Jr. on the national holiday.

Sixth Annual ‘Freedom Rally’

What and when | Monday, mostly in Myrtle Beach:

• Dr. Martin Luther King Grand Parade, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday to downtown Myrtle Beach from Pelicans Ballpark, at 21st Avenue North and Grissom Parkway

Where | Children’s Museum of South Carolina, 2501 N. Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, also accessible from Oak Street

When | 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday

How much | $5 admission

Also | Regular hours 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays and noon-5 p.m. Sundays, with admission of $8 ages 2 and older, otherwise free
