Republican Mark Lazarus has a challenger after all.
Vincent Lehotsky, a 2010 candidate for the Horry County Council chairman, announced Friday he’s entering the race as a write-in candidate for the seat again, three days before voters head to the polls.
“I would like to throw my cowboy hat into the election for Horry County Council chairman,” Lehotsky announced via email. He’s running as a write-in candidate with no party affiliation.
Lazarus defeated fellow GOP challenger Al Allen in the March 26 runoff election, advancing on to Tuesday’s general election. There are no Democratic candidates in the running.
Polls are open Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
