A Conway man was brought to the Myrtle Beach Jail Wednesday to face charges in a 2009 murder.
Lorenzo Juquel Herion, 21, is now charged with murder and armed robbery in the shooting death of Antonio Grate of Pawleys Island.
Grate suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the chest during a 2009 home invasion at the Carolina Breeze Apartments on Cedar Street.
During an interview with police for an unrelated incident in 2011, he told officers about Grate’s death according to an affidavit. He admitted to being in the home when Grate died and identified the three other men also charged in his death.
Also charged with murder and armed robbery are Alex Antwain Graham, Antoine Days, and Christopher McDonald all of Conway.
Herion has been jailed at J. Reuben Long Detention Center since Oct. 7, 2010 on a myriad of charges including six counts of armed robbery, four counts of first degree burglary, two counts of murder, resisting arrest, six counts of kidnapping, car jacking, two counts of criminal conspiracy, unlawful use of the telephone, unlawful carrying of a pistol, possession of a weapon during a violent crime if also sentenced to life without parole or death, two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime if not sentenced to life without parole or death, three counts of failure to appear, failure to stop for a blue light and three counts of failure to appear for a county or municipal ordinance summons.
