3 p.m.: Santee Cooper reports it has restored more than two-thirds of its transmission outages across South Carolina, with nearly three-fourths of its retail customers now with power.
According to its storm outage map, about 29,019 people are without power.
Horry Electric is reporting 41,612 without power.
Noon: Nearly 100,000 people in Horry County were still without power Monday morning because of Hurricane Matthew.
Horry Electric was reporting 46,261 without power at about 10 a.m. Monday, while Santee Cooper’s website had about 50,000 without power.
Crews were out early Monday morning to continue the process of restoring power to customers.
Horry Electric spokeswoman Penlope Hinson said Sunday that 15 of the companies 24 substations didn’t have power transmissions.
