North Beach Plantation has a slice of real estate that’s unique along the Grand Strand and it’s making the 5,500-square-foot space available to those who don’t mind dropping some cash for a memory.
It has completed work on a penthouse suspended like a bridge between the Plantation’s two towers and for just $1,800 a night -- plus tax and fees -- you and a number of loved ones can relish in a vacation normally just like the one percenters.
Of course, you’ll actually need $9,000 on hand, or in pocket, because through September reservations are for a minimum of five nights. But that’s a bargain. More on that in a moment.
Starting in September, though, shorter stays will be possible and will continue through the winter for a mere $999 per night.
Then, the five-day minimum will reappear next spring, when the per night cost will go up to $1,999, a sum that will put you just $5 shy of a five-figure tab, minus tax and fees, for the stay.
Who would blame you for being tempted just to launch a skydiver (slang for a $5 bill) out a window?
But it’s not like you’re wasting your money with a stay at the penthouse.
The seven bedroom, 7 1/2 bath space has, among other things:
• An 80-inch smart television and Blu-Ray DVD with surround sound in the media room.
• A built-in beverage and wet bar.
• A dining table that seats 14.
• Private in-room dining with executive chef.
• Complementary bottle of private label “Bridge” wine.
• Limo service.
• Private concierge service.
And, except for the bedrooms and baths, that’s just downstairs. Upstairs, you’ll also find the office and a loft area for chillin’.
Just like Vegas, except for the sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean.
Oh yeah, and the casinos.
