North Myrtle Beach home prices second most expensive in South Carolina

North Myrtle Beach is the second most expensive place in South Carolina to buy a house, according to Coldwell Banker Real Estate’s 2012 Home Listing Report.
The average listing price for a four-bedroom, two bathroom house in North Myrtle Beach is $373,710, second to the $378,164 average price in Mount Pleasant, according to the real estate agency’s survey of 40 S.C. markets. The average price is $243,347 in Murrells Inlet, $221,367 in Little River and $191,810 in Myrtle Beach.
The average price nationally for a four-bedroom, two bathroom house is $292,152, according to Coldwell Banker’s report.
Los Altos, Calif., is the country’s most expensive market, where the average listing price for a four-bedroom, two bathroom house is $1,706,688. The most affordable market is Redford, Mich., where a similar house is listed for an average $60,490.
The report analyzed more than 72,000 home listings on coldwellbanker.com in more than 2,500 markets in the United States between January to June.
