Prep wrestling along the Grand Strand will have a much different look this season. Devoid of four major standouts who helped turn the limelight on the programs at Loris and North Myrtle Beach, a new batch of youngsters are being counted on to fill in for Loris' Jonathan Willard and North Myrtle Beach's T.T. Prayther, Chip Hester and Richie Schneider. The Chiefs also lost coach Charlie Clay, who resigned following the season.
Carvers Bay defensive/offensive tackle Kwame Geathers has started to pare down his list of potential college suiters. Geathers said Monday that he plans to take official visits to South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Central Florida. He is allowed to take five visits, so he could add another school to the list if he wants.
