A 37-year-old woman had her purse taken from her by a man in the parking lot of a Myrtle Beach business, according to a police report.
The woman told police she had left Wal-Mart located at 541 Seaboard St., at 7:40 a.m. Monday when a man drove up next to her, jumped out of his pickup truck and snatched her purse from her hands, police said.
The woman said she struggled with the man and her finger was cut during the incident, according to the report. The man took the woman’s purse and drove away.
Police interviewed a witness and took video surveillance of the incident. Officers searched the immediate area, but did not find the man. The woman was treated at the scene by EMS.
