A Myrtle Beach man remains at large on charges related to a fatal shooting that occurred last month, according to authorities.
Saire Jerrel Castro, 22, of Myrtle Beach is wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred March 1 at a Murrells Inlet home, Horry County police Sgt. Robert Kegler said Monday. Castro may have shaved his head since police began searching for him.
Five other people have been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 35-year-old Kevin Bowens, who was found shot inside his home at 9601 Drayton Court, after police were called at 9:30 p.m. March 1.
A day after the shooting, police charged Thomas Gifford Byrne, 19, and Amanda Lee Byrne, 22, both of Myrtle Beach; Ashley Janine Bledsoe, 18, of Garden City Beach; and Sage Lee McPhail, 20, of Loris, in connection with Bowens' death.
Thomas Byrne and Bledsoe are charged with murder, Kegler said. Amanda Byrne and McPhail are charged with accessory after the fact of murder, Kegler said.
Bowens was pronounced dead at 10:37 p.m. March 1 at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, Horry County Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said. Bowens died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Anyone with information on the location of Castro is asked to call the Horry County Police Department at 915-5350.
