Three Horry County men were indicted on charges connected to a robbery and assault outside a Myrtle Beach motel, according to court records.
Dominique Trivan Chatman, 20, and Adrian Jerell Lane, 21, both of Conway, and Nigel Montez Vereen, 20, of Longs were each indicted on charges of armed robbery and first-degree assault and battery, indictments showed.
The incident occurred Dec. 5 at the Crepe Myrtle Motel, 401 Seventh Avenue North, in Myrtle Beach.
An officer arrived by bicycle to see the victim struggling to get up from the ground on the Chester Street side of the motel, according to a police report. The victim said that two males robbed him, and while he believes they both had handguns, he remembered seeing a small silver handgun that he thought was a .380 caliber.

The man said the suspects took about $100 and his cell phone, and the victim still had the back panel of the phone. The victim was bleeding profusely from the right side of his head and was treated by EMS and later sent by ambulance to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, the report said.
A witness, who was about a block away, said the victim immediately fell after being struck, and that the two suspects dragged the victim to the west side of Chester Street, where they continued to beat the victim and go through his pockets, the report said. The witness said the suspects were picked up by a Gold Nissan Ultima, and the witness followed the vehicle while giving a report to police by phone.
Officers located the vehicle near Third Avenue South and U.S. 501, and it was stopped on Canal Street near Bellamy Street, where the two suspects ran, the report said. The driver was arrested at the scene. A tracking dog with Horry County police arrived, and one of the suspects came out of the woods near the traffic stop soon afterward.
Lane and Vereen were arrested at the incident and it was unclear when Chatman was arrested.
