A Myrtle Beach man charged in a fatal vehicle crash and the stabbing of a woman was indicted by an Horry County grand jury on charges related to the March 1 incident.
Johnny Samuel Foster, 28, was indicted by a grand jury on two counts of assault and battery upon an EMS technician or firefighter, assault while resisting arrest, kidnapping, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, assault and battery with intent to kill, felony driving under the influence resulting in death and felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury, according to indictments.
Foster is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center on $500,000 bond.
The indictments stem from March 1 when police say Foster stabbed a 30-year-old woman during an argument on Brown Pelican Drive in Myrtle Beach and then was involved in a fatal three-vehicle crash on U.S. 501 at Seaboard Street as he fled from police.

Police said Foster fled to the busy intersection in a sport utility vehicle after spotting law enforcement at the stabbing scene. Foster barreled through the intersection, hitting the passenger side of Cheryl Byrd's vehicle, police said.
Byrd of Pawleys Island died in the crash.
