Jurors returned to Conway today to resume deliberations in the trial for a 35-year-old Murrells Inlet man, who is charged with murder and armed robbery in the 2005 death of a 24-year-old man, according to court officials.
The trial for Tyrone Beaty began Monday with jury selection and opening statements on Tuesday. Beaty is charged in the October 2005 death of Miles Slay. Two other men, Corey Smalls and his cousin, Antonio Smalls, also face similar charges in the death.
Slay’s body was found inside a Toyota Highlander parked at the Masonic Lodge No. 421 on Butler Road in Socastee on Oct. 21, 2005.
Prosecutors concluded their case against Beaty on Wednesday and jurors began their deliberations Thursday evening.
