Myrtle Beach police arrested a fugitive Friday after an officer responded to an unrelated call at Casa Del Oro Motel, 405 14th Ave. S., Myrtle Beach, according to a police report.
Jeffrey Hill Carter, 41, of Myrtle Beach was charged with being a fugitive from justice after being found banging on a room door with a club. Carter told the officer he was looking for a female who lived in the room, according to the report.
A background check on Carter showed that he was wanted by the Taliaferro County Sheriff's Office in Georgia for state probation violation of possession of cocaine, the report said. The Sheriff's Office confirmed it would extradite Carter and that the sentence would carry more than a year in prison.
A warrant was served, and fugitive paperwork was completed.
