Email/website: Millers1004@yahoo.com What is the top issue in your race and how would you address it? The top issue that a Board faces is hiring of a Superintendent. We have just completed the process of hiring Dr. Ed Pruden and I look forward to working with him to keep moving our system forward. We have a GREAT school system with approx 12,000 students that I want to see get the education that they deserve.
What do you consider your best accomplishment in this office? Why? It was an honor and privileged to be on stage when my daughter graduated High School in 2007. As for Board accomplishment was opening two new schools under budget. Why? By opening two new schools we were able to address overcrowding issues and save Teacher jobs in a very tough economic year.
How do you gauge the will of the people? I first listen to the parents of ALL of our students should they have a need or concern. I communicate through emails, phone calls and personal meetings to hear and listen. I also attend community meetings as well as town board meetings to communicate with all government.
